This is a video clip of Chilaqo town. Chilaqo is located in the Western Gharri region ,Southern Ethiopia. It was created in 1800's by British mercenary forces as buffer zone, because of its strategical location and main water supply routes. Since then, it has been used by various military personnel whenever there were skirmishes around the Kenyan-Ethiopian border. However, it just became full fledged district in 2011. His children appears to be very content and well feed. They bred goats and camels for dairy and occasionally use one or two for meat during special Muslim holidays. Most Gharri people in this part of the world are herders for their livelihood and are dependent on life stocks.
